Dan Silveira – avid diver, spearfisherman, kayaker and fisherman has created this “how to video” to show viewers a great way of making a streamlined lobster bag suitable for freediving or scuba diving.

For more info about Dan Silveira, check out his website:
www.spearfishingisnotacrime.com

If you are tired of getting hung up on kelp or sick of caring a big bulky bag around, then this bag may be the best solution for you.

Here are the parts to the bag:
1″ webbing strip 45″ long (for waist sizes 30 – 36) (Use more material if needed)
15″ wide by 20″ long mesh game bag with draw string.
1″ belt buckle
2 – 1″ nylon webbing keepers
2 – plastic 3/4″ washers with 1/4″ hole.
Tools: Lighter and sizers.
Directions.
Find center of the 45″ long 1″ webbing belt and make a hole 5.5″ on each side of the center line. The holes should be 11″ apart.
Remove draw string from the mesh bag and cut the top of the bag allowing an entry and exit for both the webbing belt and the bungee.
Cut a 16″ piece of 1/4″ bungee and run it through the opening at the top of the bag where the cut was just maid.
Run the Nylon belt through the other opening at the top of the bag where the cut was just made.
Now both the Nylon and bungee should be close together and the bungee can be inserted (both ends) into the holes on the nylon webbing belt. Add the plastic washers to the ends of the bungee and tie an overhand knot.
Put the webbing keepers on both ends of the belt apx. 4″ down from the end.
thread the buckle and finally weave the ends of the belt back to the keepers.
You are finished and ready to catch some lobster.

Good luck.

Simple yet robust, the GPS 72H features high-sensitivity GPS and a USB connection along with its large screen, simple operation and rock-solid performance. Find your way effortlessly with the GPS 72H’s high-sensitivity GPS receiver. GPS 72H acquires satellite signals quickly and tracks your location in challenging conditions, such as heavy tree cover or deep canyons. Don’t worry about losing this GPS device in the drink. The GPS 72H floats in water, and it’s IPX7 waterproof to withstand the accidental dunk or splash in the lake. Whether on water or land, the GPS 72H can save up to 500 of your favorite places in memory and point you to your destination (no street or terrain maps). The GPS 72H is NMEA 0183 compatible. To transfer data to or from your device, GPS 72H easily connects to your computer via USB. If you’re into boating, hunting or fishing, you can use the 72H’s built-in celestial data, which includes tide information, sunrise/sunset times and a hunting and fishing calendar.

Running across Sheridan Lake BC doing 30mph (chase boat speed) with full throttle bursts to 41mph. Modified Zenoah engine, Voodoo prop and quite tuned pipe, WHH Spd Drive III, Bonzi clutch and Garmin GPS. Ran a toatal of 45 miles on the lake at an elevation of 3768 feet above sea level. Dialing in the carb from sea level settings to the elevation of this lake was a tad tricky.
