for all of u that r wanting to buying this unit or just some kind of truckers gps, well im a trainer for a trucking company. i’ve had lots of gps’s in te past but most r gps that i had to buy truckers maps for u guys know who these companies r. well my point is this gps ( Rand mcneally intelliroute tnd 710) i bought it about a month ago and by far this is the best gps i’ve ever owned.

great for werner drivers as werner gets its directions from rand mcnally, i have looked and looked, and if you have entered the correct address, it will sport the same directions as the qualcom, that is if you have your settings right.

There are a lot of good drivers with 1,2 yrs exp out there. Experience doesn’t make you a great driver, it helps you become a better driver if you’re willing to learn. I’ve seen bad 10+ yr drivers too.

I have to disagree with your comment about any one with a cdl being a real trucker. Experience makes you a real trucker, not a cdl. I can say that after being out here for 24 years now. We complain about all the idiot 4wheelers but a good number of them are also cdl holders. Experience my friend makes a real trucker not a piece of plastic with a photo.

I just bought my 710 and it still has 2010 maps, called tech support, lol, and they said i have to wait for december to update to 2011 maps, lol, and they only update once a year, every december, oh, and it costs 89 extra dollars, BS, for the price you pay for this peice of the updates should be free

Don’t buy this piece of peoples!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid 399 for mines and just a week later the speakers are out(NO SOUND) and I do a lot of driving in NY and this thing got me on a narrow street with a low bridge.. I have updated this a bunch of times and to today’s date this GPS still takes me on Roads with Low bridges or on roads with now trucks allowed or sometimes it wont find the address that I am going to.. So please do not buy this …. (You been warned)

very bad gps, mine speaker died after 3 months,and they wont fix it for me ,it is still in warranty though,.it chooses the slowest route,and way too long routes, i went and bought the dezl it works perfect. .

I noticed you don’t have the loaded and empty option buttons next to the driving, on duty, off duty buttons on the main menu. wounder if it’s a feature that can be downloaded as a update. Kinda like a new app. This way they can load new features into you GPS.

@revolmlif ..i have a 710 that i paid $439.00 for.the one i got had a bad battery in it that would not charge..pro trucker.com sent me a new one..the power cord plug in to the gps is junk..it falls out,causing the gps to go off ,and you to be lost.. this thing is junk..i have had two of them ,they are the same..e-mail pro trucker.com to ask for a refund,,hadnt heard from them since
